The Cave

The Cave

There is a great mountain not too far away, that seemeth to loom above the horizon. In it there is a great big cave, not visible to the common eye.  It is my particular cave and in it, I dwell. From time to time  it trembles and shakes and the brazen heat from the sun seems to scorch the grass away. «Eat and Drink,» sayeth the Angel of the Lord. «Eat and Drink.» And then I go a rest.

«Slumber away and gather your strength for a long journey doth await.» Listen to the wind that listeth away, along cometh a voice filled with glory arrayed.

Speaketh the voice so gently to me: Awaken my child, Enough with your sleep.  Come forth from your cave, for I beckon thee. Stand thou before me, I call thee by name.

Alas, I awaken, at the call of His voice. «¿What doeth thou here, oh Son of Man, and of what are you afraid? knoweth thou not ye have a long way ahead? Gird up your loins and I will ask of thee and you shall speak.
